Our mission is to advocate for the decriminalization of sex work in Miami-Dade County. We aim to establish legal protections for sex workers and support their right to unionize. Additionally, we strive to end the unnecessary incarceration of sex workers and work towards the expungement of their records. We are committed to providing mutual aid and essential resources to sex workers in our community.

Educate

Public opinion is not currently on our side in the state of Florida. Therefore we are working on changing public opinion through education and awareness.

Agitate

Disrupting the status quo is apart of making real effective change. We enter rooms we’re not welcome in. Raise our voices when we’re told to be quiet. It’s not just a seat at the table, its grabbing the mic.

Organize

Slut Walk is just one way we organize as a means to educate, bring awareness and agitate the system.

Our vision is for Miami-Dade County to embrace the full decriminalization of sex work, ensuring the protection and rights of sex workers while advocating for the release of those unjustly held in the system. We aim to create easily accessible resources for sex workers and aspire to a world where the safety and well-being of sex workers is not only prioritized but recognized as integral to a compassionate and just society.

Our Values

At Decrim 305, we are guided by a set of core values that drive our mission to advocate for the decriminalization of sex work in our community. These values represent our commitment to building a more just and inclusive society where all individuals are treated with dignity and respect.

1. Coalition Building: We believe in the power of collaboration. We actively work to build alliances with diverse groups and individuals who share our vision of decriminalizing sex work. Together, we are stronger and more effective in achieving our goals.

2. Building Collective Community Power: Our efforts are rooted in the empowerment of our community. We engage in grassroots organizing and community building, ensuring that the voices of those most affected by current laws are central to our work.

3. Uplifting the Most Vulnerable: We prioritize the well-being of the most vulnerable individuals involved in sex work. Our advocacy seeks to protect them from exploitation, violence, and discrimination, striving for a more equitable and just society.

4. Safe Spaces for Sex Workers: We are committed to creating safe and supportive environments where sex workers can operate without fear of violence, harassment, or legal repercussions. These spaces offer resources and a sense of community for those in need.

5. Sex Workers Should Always Be in Charge: We champion the fundamental principle that sex workers have the right to make decisions about their own lives and work. Our advocacy focuses on ensuring their autonomy and control over their choices.

6. No Personal Gain, Only Community Gain: Our movement is not driven by personal interests but by the well-being of our community and the sex work community as a whole. We are dedicated to creating policies that benefit everyone involved, rather than benefiting only a select few.

These values guide our work and shape our commitment to social justice, human rights, and harm reduction in the context of sex work. Our mission is to improve working conditions, enhance safety, reduce harm, and combat the stigma and discrimination faced by sex workers. We invite you to join us in advocating for a more just and inclusive society.
